St. Andrew Prayer

Don't forget your St. Andrew Prayer, starts today!!!!

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.

(It is piously believed that whoever recites the above prayer fifteen times a day from the feast of St. Andrew (30th November) until Christmas will obtain what is asked.)

Friend Pic's

Well after almost 10 years of emailing each other, I finally met my friend Britton.  This is one amazing family.  Nine kids, and they are all wonderful people.  Of course MaryK was the bride, but got to finally make contact with sister Britton as well as many of the husbands and others that you know, but have never actually met face to face.  A few pic's with Rheanon, Me and Dede (friend from here in Omaha) and another of me and Britton.  And let me tell you, this family has talent....boy they can dance!

Congrats MaryK and Joey

So our friends were married last night, beautiful wedding, beautiful bride. Very fun reception. And the big news of the day.......................da, da, da......................the girls had their first dance................with.............dare I say it.................BOYS! Very repsectful, nice young men, asked the girls to dance. And of course Steve gave me my once a year dance. hehe. It was tons of fun.

Happy Thanksgiving (late)

We had a nice and busy Thanksgiving. Dinner prep went well even though the kids went to school the day before. I had done the turkey during the day. The kids brought two girlfriends home (school boarders) home for the holiday. Mickayla is from California and Jaymee is one of 11 (mom is expecting number 12) and they are from Idaho. We of course made all our dishes. We made Sweet Potato back with Rosie's help, Joey made green bean casserole. Carolyn made pie crusts, Me and Madelyn made pumpkin pies, Katelyn and Mickalya made apple pies, Carolyn made cherry pies, Katelyn made cheese cake, Jaclyn made pudding pies, and Joey made blueberry dessert!

Get Well Soon!

Prayers for you Dad Cichos to mend and get back home.  We love you.

Happy Birthday Carolyn Weezy!

You have given us 15 years of great times.  We are so blessed to have you, you are an amazing young lady and we are so proud to be your parents.  We love you very much.  Thank you for being our little girl!  P.S.  You'll always be our little Weezy.

More pic's and video coming...

Kids Play

Big kids were in a play, they did a great job. So Carolyn played a high society type that was quite snobbish. Joseph played a young man that was quite holy. Jaclyn and Katelyn were fellow citizens. The play was a morality play. The high society types were gossipers, and it showed the benefits of not joining in on gossip talk and be charitable.

Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day to our veterans that have died and those that are still with us.  May God Bless You.

So, I received a pretty neat email from Sister M. Imelda, CMRI and thought I'd share it here.  It really is beautiful.
Mass During Wartime by Shawn Tribe (Nov. 11, 2011)

In many parts of the world, today is a day of remembrance for the victims and the veterans of war. (Today is also Martinmas incidentally.) I thought it might be fitting to gather together a variety of historical photos showing Masses offered during wartime, taken from various places and locations.
