Good St. Anne (July 26th)

Glorious Saint Anne, we think of you as filled with compassion for those hwo invoke you and with love for those who suffer. Heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present affiar which I commend to you under you special protection. {mention your petition}

Deign to commend it to your daughter, our Blessed Lady, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy conclusion. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day beholding my God face to face. With you and Mary and all the saints, may I praise and bless Him for all eternity. Amen.

Good Saint Anne, mother of her who is our life, our sweetness and our hope, pray for me (3x)

Prayers for a friend

I'll be saying good-bye to my closest friend here in Omaha this week.  Her family is moving to Colorado, while I"m very happy for her, and the families ability to be able to leave, I will miss her very much.  She's been a great friend.  My friends in Colorado, you're about to get a great addition to your church.

God Bless You DeDe and be safe.

Ouchie, poor Weezy!

Well Carolyn Weezy no longer has a double tooth!  Her baby tooth was removed but will need a consult with an orthadonitics because the baby tooth was the one in the spot the permanent tooth should of been so the permanent is more towards the roof of her mouth, dentist said it won't straighten without help.  She did great though,  She was laughing at me because I was so worried for her. hehe.

We will have all the kids dental visits done by the time school starts, feel like a yo-yo these days!

Tony is so funny!

I can't believe in one week he is going to be two years old.  Well I had a  strict budget for his birthday, and of course all the stuff I'd like for him is way too expensive, its amazing how much things have went up in the last 17 years.  Me and my mom were talking about it last night.  The jungle jim that she gave us that we really never got to use becasue we left it in Colorado, she bought that about 20 years ago for about 200.00, the very same jungle jim now costs new about 1000.00.  Even the playhouse we got the kids and also had to leave in Colorado I got for 100.00 the very same little houses would cost 500.00.  It really is unfortuanate.  But I decided to go on a hunt, so I watched craigslist, and I found some great deals.  His godmother sent him a gift, so with that he got a picnic table and yes its going right in my kitchen for lunch time!  I think both him and Rosie are going to love that.  I found him a slide, a bit sun faded but great condition and my huge find was a Radio Flyer tricycle with a mother steering bar as he learns.  I found a cake pan of a train and its 3-d. I'm really excited about making this cake, we are going to make two more cars, like a coal car using crushed oreo's for the coal and oreo cookies for the wheels and kit kat candy's for the track.

Anyway, he is gong to be a fun two year old.  He has made one pee pee in the potty but seems interested in talking about it.  He has had a really good summer and is going to miss everyone when they go back to school.  He sometimes is whiny to me, but get his big sisters around and he's a happy camper.  But he's a happy go lucky little kid, he knows he's cute and he has the big brown eyes that helps with his cute factor. haha.  Anyway, off for more adventures with little Tony Bony...

Priest Meeting

Spiritually this was a glorious week and one that was so overdue for us.  We were blessed to have a home visit from our parish priest Fr. Radecki from Michigan.  It worked so perfectly, he visited with all the kids seperately and me and Steve together.  He taught Michael and Rosalyn the ten commandments, sang with the children, and spent time with the teen agers showing them some of his recent projects.  He has written a new Latin book for highschool (which he teaches back home in Michigan) also a new Catechism book for highschool (which again he teaches back home) and also a new book coming soon regarding the changes in the church.  The kids were enthralled with his book and excited about it, since they are taking these classes right now they were the perfect critics!

We also had two teenagers visiting and another 2 showed up, and his brother was the parish priest for these kids in the past, so Father knew them and their family and spent time with them in my dining room seperately.

It really is a beautiful thing to watch a true Parish priest attend to his flock.  I had forgotten how gracious of a priest he is, and the reminder was so welcomed and missed.  I had a situation that upset me this week, and it was so wonderful how he just has the ability to put it in persepctive and to help one deal with their little splinters in life.

Joey was able to serve for him everyday of the priest meeting and Joey was so happy and excited.  I was happy for him.  And he also made time for us to go to confession.  He was very attentive in the midst of the priests very busy schedule.  On Wednesday, their was a luncheon and it really is the only time to visit with the priests, since I had, had his councel, I introduced him to a few other mothers that I knew he would be a great inspiration to.  I visited with a few other priests.  Sat with Fr. Kasmir from Spokane (he is the priest that administered the last sacrament to my father, along with the Bishop) and we were able to attend all of Fr. Radecki's masses, even the private one.  The private one was today and it was amazing!  It was in the choir loft and its very small up there, I had never been privy to be up there for a mass before, literally I was about 2 feet from Joey as he was serving, have never had such a birdseye view of the Mass.  It was beautiful, all of the kids were very excited, Carolyn said it was the best Mass she ever attended.  We were a bit sad to leave today, knowing we won't see him again for a year when he returns next summer, but feel blessed to have such a devoted priest even if its long distance.

Girls Camp at OneTrueMedia.com

Priest singing...

I thought this sounded really amazing...not too often you hear so many priests sing at one time.

A few more...

Here's a few pic's I came across after I downloaded the first time, so these are just mix matched added on pic's...

Saturday

The play was the play of the life of Saint Terese.  Evelyn played St. Terese as a child.  Katelyn played her uncle and Carolyn played her father and Madelyn played a person at the end of the play when they did cameo's of a few of her miracles.  Jaclyn played her sister Celine.

It was a great play, they did spectacular.  Evelyn did so great i was so proud of her first main role.  She shined, as well as all of them.

Friday

Another Convent day we swam in the morning and then the kids have activities and practiced for the play.  I went home early...One more day left and by this time, we were all pretty exhausted...

Thrusday night-

Talent show!  It was worth the wait. haha.  Once I get caught up with posting I'll download a video but until then I'll just explain it, Jaclyn and Carolyn sang a song and did the sign language for it.  Rosie sang with little girls her age, "twinkle twinkle"  And it was darling!  My little friend Marie (Fries) sang and she was absolutely adorable.  I was very excited to meet one of my closest friends Mary's daugthers.  Her daughter that is Evelyn's age became my little buddy and came to me everytime she missed her mom.  She was a joy to be around and made me quite teary eyed, as she looks so much like her Mom!  I really enjoyed it.  Her older daughter Monica also attended, now last time I saw her she was 4.  She's now 14.   Anyway little Marie wanted to sing but the only song she knew by heart was "amazing grace" and Sister made her older sister come up and sing with her, let me tell you Monica was not impressed, but you just have to love a spirited little one. haha. Katelyn, Madelyn and Evelyn all did little skits with their friends.  It was very entertaining.

Thursday-daytime!

Went to the zoo and had a very tiring but great time.

Wednesday

Wednesday we went swimming and then me and the little girls retired home a bit early.  Swimming was a lot of fun, Katelyn swam a bit but then wanted to just "relax" so she hung out in the pool watching little kids, the little kids had so much fun with her, she played with them and let them splash her and boy so many giggles coming from there, she says she really enjoyed it, but it also gave me the oppurtunity to work on swimming lessons with Evelyn and Madelyn.  Jaclyn and Carolyn and yes me all went off the high dive.  Its been 20 years since I went off, I was so surprised as I hit the water, I had remind myself to swim to the surface. haha.  A little out of practice, but boy were the girls excited, I think all 100 were cheering when I came up. hahahaha.  Rosie worked on swimming too, she is a natural.  And happy boys (Joe and Tony) whom cannot come to boys camp stayed at a friends house with her boys and she took them swimming at the YMCA, so everyone was happy.  Pool swimming is great, really gives an oppurtunity to really practice with the kids.
