Me and Steve are going through a miscarriage right now. We were very surprised to find out we were pregnant and were waiting for the appointment to see the heart beat to spread the happy news. At first we were shocked of course, but within a few days we were quite excited, thought about names and were just waiting for Monday's appointment. I had had one quick check and could only see a pregnancy but still too early to see a baby in the sac.
On Wednesday during Ash Wednesday Mass, I began the beginning signs of miscarriage, and later the evening the signs became much more apparent. Of course our hearts and we are very sad. Another loss, to add to what seems our long list. Working on our lenten prayers, acceptance to God's will, and allowing time and prayers to find their way into our hearts.
One advantage to not telling people you are pregnant early on, is you don't have to tell people you aren't pregnant anymore. But one disadvantage is you are living a silent sadness, with a smile on your face, but no one knows inside there are no smiles.
Spending the weekend just resting, been reading to the kids, and cuddling much. I do feel blessed for the children I have but also feel the sadness of those that only my heart gets to touch.
Anyway, all the prayers you can send our way, is much appreciated.
