We are very excited, our friend Jeri and his son are coming in on Friday and staying almost a week to spend the 4th of July with us, we had been invited to attend a family gathering, but with the 4th falling in the middle of the week and Steve's class schedule this quarter is super tough, we just couldn't make the trip, we were a bit bummed, to make that decision as we love visiting with family (Steve's family at their lake house) but we just can't swing it.
Part of us really wants to reserve any sort of trip for a chance to visit my Mom. Its not in the plans but if we could find a way to make a car trip, seeing my Mom has to be a priority, its been 4 years since I've seen my mother, and some of our kids don't really have a memory of her, since its been so long, they recognize her picture, but to actually remember talking with her, the little kids, just don't. And she never has met Tony and really not Rosie either. (she saw Rosie for 2 days during a moving day but had to rush back home, so it doesn't really count as far as a visit) We have been very blessed that Steve's parents and siblings have been able to make us visits, but the family is also feeling the loss, since they have not seen any of my family in so long. I try not to think of it much, but boy do I miss my mom and my brother and sister. So maybe sometime, we will be able to figure something out.
Anyway, this is a nice thing for us, we are very close to Jer and his son, and absolutely thrilled he chose our children and our home to take his vacation to. July is bound to be busy, we have girls camp, priest meetings where Fr. Radecki is coming in a day early so he can spend an afternoon and have dinner with us and we are so excited to see him, he is such a great priest, and has been a great confessor in the last decade of our lives, that we are so thrilled he is coming in early for us. So...July is sounding pretty super busy.
Back to Steve, his classes this quarter are tough tough, so we as a family need to give him that space. Looks like it will be like this atleast for the next 2 quarters, as its a 2 part class. So hold on to your hats, people, we are in for a bumpy ride for the next few months. haha. He is an amazing man and capable of the seems like impossible. 9 more months, and he will have his degree! I imagine the closer it gets the classes are going to be more in quantity and more in quality! Anyway, off to keep working on my home video's. I'm up to year 2004! Boy these video's are great, the family is enjoying seeing the ending product as well. ok. off I go....I gotta go do something....what you say? hmmm, well a load of laundry is calling my name...
Mama of Many-Daddy too!

Happy Father's Day
Summer Post
Been quiet around here but just because I've been so busy with the kids. Kids are working hard at their reading program, I'm even doing a book club with Evelyn, we're reading a book about a hamster named Humphrey! hehe.
Anyhow spending enough time with relaxation and working. Worked on cleaning under all the appliences and did the carpets this week, you know if I ever when the lottery, I am so going to have a carpetless house! We did get some runners that were on sale and I'm hoping it helps the heavy traffic areas.
Steve and the kids finished digging out the dirt by the house, to extend the driveway to the house, it looks so nice just being clean.
We went swimming last week but it was cold, but jumped off the dock and surprised all the kids that their ol' Mom still has some adventure in her bones. haha. We got Rosalyn a life jacket because at a recent trip to a pool she was going to hold on to the stairs and she fell in, thankfully it was only a few seconds, so we got her a life jacket, to wear near the water for a bit longer. Tony already wears one. Madelyn is learning how to swim and Evelyn is doing great. Carolyn and Jaclyn are good swimmers and Joe is becoming a good swimmer while Katelyn knows just enough.
Anyway, so yeah, Steve's lay off is over, so pleased. Just in time to think about school shirts, shoes, socks and supplies. haha. But may be able to do a few of the projects I had to put off, I'd like to do some painting and stuff.
I have been very hard at work on my home movie project, its a big project but its also very satisfying to get these video's organized and put on dvd's.
We got a family membership to the children's museum so we're going to check that out next week, but swimming will have to wait, since the weather is too cool. Camp is around the corner and priest meetings, and we might get a visit from our good friends Jeri and Billy for the fourth of July! I hope that pan's out, we as a family sure do miss them.
So off to keep working on my summer projects. Mikey is reading so great, and Rosie is really enjoying Tony, well Tony is enjoying picking on Rosie too. haha. The girls are doing great, Carolyn has been doing a lot of drawing and cooking, Jaclyn reading and Katelyn actually has been doing some reading but mostly chatting on the phone and learning how to drive. Joe has been helping out dad with Jaclyn and Carolyn too. Madelyn is reading up a storm and Evelyn and Jaclyn have been buddy buddy. So its all good in the Cichos household.
