October for Loss

As I've said in previous years, October is the month of Infant loss, stillborn and miscarriage awareness, which is a topic close to my heart.  The years of never speaking of our children lost, is a time that is slowly diminishing but its because we can speak of these things, and we don't have to keep these sorrows only inside.

When a parent losses a child, it makes them feel helpless, but we have to remember that our sorrows on earth prepare us during our lives, we sometimes experience sad things, and these things give us grace.  We know that we are born to love and serve God and so we can be happy with him forever in Heaven.  These children, are born and will find happiness and with baptism as parents we have done our job to get these children to Heaven.  To really consider my children, Alex and Marilyn and to know they are with God, they know his will, and they have the happiness that we on earth can only try to imagine, its a powerful consolation.  We will one day be together, and my prayer, my deepest prayer is to get all my children to Heaven and one day, I will have all my children, everyone of them with me, if I stay the course.
